Shrinkies is a method fresh from the USA and are small plastic tubes which are threaded onto small sections of your natural hair, a piece of extension hair is placed alongside yours within the tube and heat is added to shrink the tube tightly around your hair to secure in a neat bond. Micro Rings are small metal coated rings that are fitted in principle in the same way as shrinkies, however they don't involve heat, they are simply pressed flat to create a neat and flat to the hair bond, I personally prefer to use a longer length of micro ring with a silicone inner lining which is kinder to the hair and grips better due to increased surface area, This also decreases the damage and breakage of hair than standard micro rings used by other extensionists.
